What to know about Zdovbytsia

Zdovbytsia is known from 1487, when the village belonged to the Ostroh princes. In 1753 Prince Lubomirski became owner of the estate, and in 1831 the Lubomirski palace with a large park was built here. The palace did not survive: its roof was destroyed in the First World War and the ruins disappeared after the Second.

Zdovbytsia today

This large village near Zdolbuniv has around six thousand residents, and the Bezodnia River surrounds its historic centre. The most visible landmark is the Church of St Michael, built in the 1870s.
